From time to time, the MP for Dudley’s office hosts student placements to conduct research. The aim of the research is to inform decision making and ensure no stone is left unturned in Dudley.

We currently are hosting Nottingham University student, Rebecca Bull who is exploring the perceptions and experiences of Dudley residents concerning dementia-related issues.

This includes dementia awareness, perceptions of the role of the local authority and experiences of diagnosis, treatment and care. Amid the current strained context of the adult social care system this is an important and timely study that may bring understanding to the context in Dudley.
